Name Regulation on the approval procedure for proposed clean development mechanism (CDM) project activities in Laos
Description

The purpose of this regulation is to define the necessary principles, rules, measures and procedures for operation of the CDM framework for the national approval of proposed CDM project activities by the Designated National Authority (DNA) of Laos.The project proponent should submit the project design document (PDD), an executive summary and the completed sustainable development checklist form in both English and Lao language. The DNA Secretariat will then do the screening of the PDD and the documents will be assessed by a technical working group and the DNA Board. If all the information is correct, an approval letter will be issued by the DNA Board Chairperson. The decree also describes members and functions of the DNA and detailed procedure for assessing proposed CDM project activities.
