After receiving permission from the Royal Government, the Ministry of Mines and Energy decided to grant a license to another company, LATE CHENG MINING DEVELOPMENT CO., LTD, a Chinese company to conduct gold mining business in Cambodia. If there is no change, the new company will start operating in mid-2023, located in Sandan district, Kampong Thom province. This was confirmed by Mr. Ing Depola, Director General of the General Department of Mineral Resources of the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
