Korea's growing presence and interest in Cambodia. Relations between Cambodia and Korea were normalized in 1997, more than twenty years after they broke down when the Khmer Rouge took power in 1975. Since then, the Korean presence in the developing nation has kept expanding as diplomatic, cultural and economic ties between the two countries strengthened over the last decade.
