Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has consequently granted the Grant Aids, Technical Cooperation Program and Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) loans to the Royal Government of Cambodia, particularly to develop the Sihanoukville port such as port infrastructures rehabilitation and expansion in order to build the capacity of the container handling operation. Since 1999 up to present, JICA has financed the ODA loans with the total of JPY19,600,000,000 (US$ 178,500,000) to Sihanoukville port for the software and hardware developments.
