Webpage capture on the news article of unemployed Siem Reap temple workers in Limbo, as French and Cambodian officials, fail to find resolution
This webpage capture shows the news article of the workers restoring the West Mebon temple in Angkor Archaeological Park had negotiated a collective bargaining agreement with EFEO, who was originally in charge of the project. In 2018, management of the temple transferred to the Cambodian state-owned Apsara authority, who offered the workers worse conditions. Workers did not accept this, so all were fired and new workers were hired. Workers accused EFEO of passing the buck, so held a protest outside EFEO's Siem Reap office.
