The outcome was the company permanently closed on November 7 due to low tourism numbers during the COVID-19 pandemic. All of the employees received unpaid wages and allowances the week before the closure, but said they were still to receive their 2020 indemnity payments. Workers planned to file a complaint to demand outstanding benefits. The Siem Reap Department of Labor, however, said the company had already paid compensation for all employees. He said that any outstanding demands made by workers were unlikely to be considered because they had already agreed to the payments given to them.
