China and the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Cooperation

This paper attempts to provide an overview and analysis of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) in the context of China-ASEAN cooperation and connectivity. It argues that sub-regional cooperation mechanism plays significant role in concretizing regional integration and community building. The GMS is one of the core regional cooperation schemes linking China with the mainland Southeast Asia. It focuses on infrastructure connectivity and economic cooperation.
