Foreign direct investment and knowledge transfer in Laos, Asian Journal of Technology Innovation.

The purpose of this study is to examine if and how the presence of MNCs’ mode of investmentwill contribute and transfer knowledge to local staff and, more specifically, to find out if any tech-nology transfer has an impact on the production and occurs in the selected investment strategy. Afurther aim is to discuss the current situation and views on investment trends in Lao PDR,includ- ing the three compared MNCs’ modes of doing business, as well as to find out any challenges andobstacles to these three businesses’ operation in Laos.
