This briefing note is intended to contribute to the ongoing debate about future support to the European Union (EU) Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) Action Plan and in particular its Voluntary Partnership Agreements (VPAs). It contains a series of recommendations for the European Union and its VPA partner countries related to the implementation, strengthening, and streamlining of the VPAs.
