Corporate social responsibility in lao

This study on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was commissioned by GIZ and BGR to inform the work of the Lao-German development cooperation programme‘ Economic Development and Employment Promotion‘ (EDEP), in its projects ‘Support for a Sustainable Development of the Mining Sector’ (SDMS), ‘Human Resource Development for a Market Economy‘ ( HRDME) and ’Regional Economic Integration of Lao PDR into ASEAN, Trade and Entrepreneurship Development‘ (RELATED) and to contribute to the public debate on CSR in Lao PDR. Supporting the introduction of voluntary CSR and mandatory social and environmental regulations and standards in Lao PDR is a fundamental column of the development cooperation strategy of the financing German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development(BMZ) and thus an integral part of the EDEP Programme
