"The purpose of this guide is to help your community decide if you want to share your community lands and natural resources with outside companies or investors. Some companies or investors may want your community’s lands or forests to grow oil palm or rubber, or to do logging. This means deciding not only if a company or investor should operate in your community, but how and where they should operate and what your community should receive in return.
