National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan – Myanmar

NBSAP Myanmar is a commitment of the Government and its people to the sustainable use of biological resources and to the fulfillment of Myanmar’s obligations, as a member country, to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). Conserving biodiversity not only secures the livelihoods of a major proportion of the population but also enhances the range of opportunities for economic prosperity and sustainable development of the nation. Therefore, the goal of the NBSAP is to provide a strategic planning framework for the effective and efficient conservation and management of biodiversity and natural resources with greater transparency, accountability and equity.
