SDG 4 Monitoring: Framework Development

Education is a central theme throughout the 2030 Agenda, which includes a standalone education goal and education related targets within seven other SDGs (UIS, 2016).1 In particular, SDG 4 is ambitious and aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” by 2030. The goal consists of ten targets to guide countries along a transformative path to a sustainable education agenda.
