The precarious status of migrants in Thailand: Reflections on the exodus of Cambodian migrants and lessons learnt

A report reflecting on the mass exodus of Cambodian migrants from Thailand in June 2014. The report is based on interviews with Cambodian migrants on both side of the border as well as migrants’ family members. Interviews investigated the migrants’ migration and deportation experience, economic situation, documentation status, current challenges and future intentions. The report presents the research findings and makes recommendations. Available in English and Khmer versions.
