Announcement no. 3269 on the official launch of the fifth-generation (5G) mobile service operations in the Kingdom of Cambodia

On 31 December 2025, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued an announcement on the official launch of the fifth-generation (5G) mobile service operations in the Kingdom of Cambodia. 5G will play a vital role in accelerating digital transformation in Cambodia’s economy and society, in alignment with the Pentagonal Strategy–Phase I, the Cambodia Digital Economy and Society Policy Framework 2021–2035, and the Cambodia Digital Government Policy 2022–2035, offering numerous benefits, including faster internet speeds compared to 4G, the capacity to connect a larger number of devices simultaneously, lower latency, and enhanced efficiency in the delivery of digital public services.
