Notification Re : Extension of Duration of the Declaration of an Emergency Situation in all areas of the Kingdom of Thailand (1st Extension)

Considering that the outbreak of the communicable disease Coronavirus 2019 or COVID-19 continues to persist, though it has been under control to a certain extent, demonstrating the capability of Thailand’s public health system, the understanding of the situation, and more importantly, the cooperation on the part of the people; that this disease is still severely spreading in many countries, and there are still people entering into the Kingdom, as well as travelling across provinces and ignoring disease prevention measures prescribed by the government, indicating the risk for the spreading of the infection; and that moreover, the World Health Organization has warned that the relaxation or cancellation of disease prevention measures should be undertaken carefully and with caution, as it is apparent that after the cancellation of control measures, situations in some countries re-escalated, therefore, it is necessary to extend the duration of the Declaration of an Emergency Situation for a further period of time, during which the Government shall assess the situation and may strengthen or relax the enforcement of certain measures based on information from those responsible for public health, security, public administration, and the economy;
