Developing fisheries enhancement in small water bodies: lessons from Laos and Northeast Thailand

Lessons learnt from Laos and Northeast Thailand on developing fisheries enhancement in small waterbodies. The report reviews the characteristics of enhanced small waterbody fisheries in Laos and Northeast Thailand, and evaluates their performance in terms of productivity and socio-economic as well as environmental impacts. It also looks into the assessment of the need and potential for improving the performance of enhancements, and explores how governmental organisations and NGOs can aid the sustainable development of enhancements through a process of participatory, adaptive learning.
