Sustainable forest management and forest certification in Vietnam: From policy to practice

This article focuses on assessing the implementation and impacts as well as the policies that have been and will be directly related to Vietnam's Sustainable forest management and Forest certification process overtime, including: 1) Guidelines for sustainable forest management (Circular 38/2014 / TT-BNNPTNT, November 3, 2014 of MARD); 2) Action Plan for sustainable forest management and forest certification for the period 2015-2020 (Decision 2810 / QD-BNN-TCLN, July 16, 2015 of MARD); 3) Scheme on implementing sustainable forest management and forest certification in the period 2016-2020 (Decision 83 / QD-BNN-TCLN dated 12/01/2016); and 4) Target Program for Sustainable Forestry Development in the period of 2016 - 2020 (Decision No. 886 / QD-TTg dated June 16, 2017).
