In relation to the requirements from international funders and national environmental authorities, SN Power will have the overall responsibility for implementing and coordinating all social and environmental mitigation activities and programs.

A requirement in the tender documents and in the construction contract states that the contractor should give preference to local labour over labour from outside the region, and also commit to a target of recruiting at least 30% of the total workforce locally.

Environmental and Social Unit (ESU) of the company will implement preventative measures to protect the environment by carrying out environmental monitoring and supervision during the project phases in cooperation with the contractors.

The total estimated cost for implementing environmental and social management plans is 13,261,450 USD for pre-construction (1 year) and construction (6 years).
