This report presents the results of a comparative case-study analysis of the impact of household transportation use on urban air pollution. The case studies were conducted in Bangkok, Mexico City, and Washington, D.C. Researchers analysed surveys to find trends regarding transportation, household expenditure, and air pollution, and supplemented this analysis with qualitative approaches. They find that various structural and behavioural factors influenced the contribution to air pollution, and make recommendations based on these findings.
