This report discusses options for identifying and developing forest monitoring methodologies that can estimate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from forest degradation.
This is one of three field level assessments from Cambodia, Lao PDR and Vietnam that helped inform much of the discussion during the regional forest monitoring experts' workshop to discuss lessons learned from the subnational assessments and operational aspects of various forest degradation monitoring approaches, highlighting potentially successful approaches given existing drivers. This workshop was held in Bangkok in November 2012.
