Women in Cambodia and elsewhere in Asia are a dynamic but often underrated economic force. Recent gains have included the narrowing of income gaps between women and men and many governments in the region have started to review legislation addressing equality of employment and occupational opportunities for men and women. Despite these advances many challenges still remain. This study was designed to provide detailed data on critical issues concerning women workers. Issues identified include: Health and nutrition, breastfeeding, childcare, personal safety, and various forms of workplace harassment.
