A study on the adoption, practices and outcomes of the System of Rice Intensification (SRI) in Cambodia and its implications on gender relations. The researchers investigated: (a) the roles women and men played in conventional and SRI rice production; (b) changes in production systems and relationships and effects on women and men; (c) resources and support services available to women and men; (d) decision-making on SRI adoption among women and men; (e) the impact of benefits derived from SRI adoption; and (f) the linkages to external conditions and the implications of this on household gender relations. The study is based on qualitative interviews, surveys of famers and review of data and literature.
