Participation Land Use Planning

Twelve villagers are selected with the approval of the whole village to be members of the village Land and Forest management Committee (VLMC). The rationale for the selection of 12 VLMCmembers is that this number allows for the inclusion of villagers with different of social backgrounds and responsibilities without making the negotiation and deliberation processes with larger numbers too difficult or slow.
