Transparency and Minerals Development in Cambodia – The cases of Oz Minerals and BHP-Billiton

Cambodians for Resource Revenue Transparency and Development and Partnership in Action conducted two case studies focused on two Australian mining companies – BHP Billiton and OZ Minerals. Both companies are under investigation for alleged bribery and its impacts on local communities. The case studies contain information that is in the public domain – including the companies’ websites and newspaper reports – and the stories of people living near the exploration areas. These stories were told to CRRT staff during a visit to affected communities in March 2013.
