Announcement on annulment of Nov 8 Multiparty General Election results_26 July 2021

This is Notification No. (2/2021) of the Union Election Commission under the State Administration Council and is the announcement on annulment of Nov 8 Multiparty General Election results. The reason given by UEC for annulment is that the Multiparty Democracy General Election held on 8 November 2020 was not in compliance with the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Union Election Commission Law and respective Hluttaw Election Law, in addition to the fact that it was found that the election was not free and fair.
